Following an outstanding career in American law and media, Dr. Harvey Dzodin is a Vienna- based freelance international columnist, commentator and environmental activist.Along with his wife. Lisa Zhang, he founded the HCD Earthcare Culture Association to build sustainable bridges of understanding between Asia and Europe, by organizing educational programs to inform young people and adults from different cultures about pressing environmental issues, and help give them the skillsets they need to assume future leadership roles to save our challenged planet.He has published more than 400 op-ed columns focusing on international affairs, media, arts, culture and environment. He is a frequent commentator in a variety of broadcast and online media. Dr. Dzodin was appointed by US President Jimmy Carter as his lawyer on a presidential commission. After being nominated by the White House and the U.S. Department of State, he was posted to the United Nations Office in Vienna. He also served as a director and vice president of the ABC Television Network in New York for more than 20 years.
Dr. Dzodin was awarded a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School in 1973, and a Master of Laws degree from the London School of Economics in 1974. In 1969, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors from Michigan State University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Dzodin was awarded the qualification of Counsellor at Law by New York State and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.The American Biography Institute named Dr. Dzodin one of the „Great Thinkers of the 21st Century.“
